Hey, again...since in space, there's no up or down, why do star ships everywhere is "right side up?" Anakin Skyobiliviator 22:50, June 18, 2011 (UTC)
- Nav computers bring them out of hyperspace at a plane that is common to the gravitational feild of their destination. Just a guess.. sue me. Hung Solo 23:15, June 18, 2011 (UTC)
- Great answer!
i have also wondered about this in star wars and ots ships espesially with when the invisible hand heavily damaged and all the hangars contents get messed but on the clone wars series (the old one) you see venators and providences all over the spot above coruscant in many positions without any problems (Venator cruiser)
- Cartoons are messed up anyway.40 Year Old Virgin 06:15, June 20, 2011 (UTC)
- It's a normal trope in science fiction. I think it also ties in to how directors try and keep relative positions consistent through a scene (like, how if I'm standing to your left, they try and avoid shots that give the illusion of me being on your right, so as not to confuse people. Keep all your ships upright, and define the Republic on the right and the CIS on the left, and nobody gets all "how did that ship get THERE?!"
