When was Gaen Marek (Starkiller) born, and when was he picked up by Vader? I'm lost about that.
can telekinesis only move solid matter, or can it also move hot air, water, and fire? and is there a force power for shooting fire from your palms, mouth, or feet like in avatar: the last airbender? Ralphjedimaster 03:42, February 14, 2011 (UTC)
In one of the Junior Jedi Knights books, Tionne teaches Anakin and Tahiri how to manipulate mist. It was apparently more difficult, since it's not an object, but rather a combination of water and air, but it was possible. I also remember a New Jedi Order book where someone (I think Tahiri) tried to kill a Yuuzhan Vong by increasing the air pressure around their heads, so they can manipulate air. There is no source for summoning fire (remember that fire isn't "energy", it's hot gas that's being combusted, and note that fire requires some kind of fuel, be it accelerant or wood, and the Jedi can't magically summon chemicals from nothing). well apparently there is Pyrokinesis. The article says its dubiously canonical, but I seem to remember one of the Sourcebooks I have mentioning a similar power. I'll have to check and see.<-Omicron(Leave a message at the BEEP!) 15:38, February 14, 2011 (UTC)
Good catch, I forgot about that one. But I'm thinking that manipulating fire is distinctly different from creating it. I suppose using the Force to control the burning gases makes sense, but creating fire from nothing is much more difficult. I'm not too familiar with the RPG sourcebooks though, so it'll be cool to see what you find. Taral, Dark Lord of the Sith-Just shy, not antisocial: You can talk to me!- 19:51, February 14, 2011 (UTC)
i looked at the link and it said this (word for word): "Pyrokinesis was a Force power that allowed a Force-user to manipulate and create fire." so that answers all my questions except one: i still want to know if they can move water like waterbending (if they could, i know they could also freeze people to trees because they can manipulate air). thanks for pointing those out (i want to find about as many force powers as i can), but i still want to know: can a jedi move water with telekinesis? (and if they could, they could freeze it by rapidly removing the air around it, mostly hot air, and even boil it and make a steam cover by adding hot air like in avatar: the last airbender! if they can move water, they can do anything a bender from avatar: the last airbender can do!) Thanks Omicron! I'm not a huge fan of being able to create fire, but I suppose almost anything can be possible with The Force. And in hindsight, if air can be manipulated, then so can superheated and even combusting air. Certainly more complex, but consistent with what we know. As for your last question Ralph, we know they can manipulate water (Junior Jedi Knights) and we know they can manipulate temperature (Omicron's RPG sources). I don't remember seeing anything that resembled water-bending, but from what we know it seems possible. I do seem to remember Kit Fisto pushing water to destroy the legs of the crab cannon (in an episode of the Clone Wars microseries), but it didn't look much like water-bending, since he was under the ocean at the time. it probably wouldn't be used much, but if they can move water and freeze it by removing the hot air rapidly, or boil it by adding hot air, then they can do anything a waterbender can do. or any type of bender for that matter, except firebending lightning, which is different from force lightning in that it has a much wider firing arc, does more damage (unless you have enough skill in force lightning to evaporate being, like starkiller and his clone) and is shot from 2 fingers instead of all fives. Is this Star Wars relted anyone??? Any of these things would be really cool things to have. You dont have to be smart and give some smart answer. As much as I hate to say it, its impossible. Would be cool though.—Unsigned comment byKiwi-is-awesome (talk • contribs).
Um, what? They are Star Wars related, yes, and there are numerous references to sourcebooks above that say they are possible to exist in Star Wars. Also, sign your comments with ~~~~. NAYAYEN—it appears to be a frammistat 11:17, February 23, 2011 (UTC)
