Why didn't Yoda and Obi-Wan warn luke about the emperor's force lightning? We all know yoda told him "not to underestimate the power of the emperor" but there's a difference between saying that and saying "if he shoots lightining out of his hands, stick your lighsaber in the way." I know it was necessary for the story (luke is tortured, vader goes back to being anakin and saves him) but are there any other reasons? Ewok9007 05:49, September 3, 2011 (UTC)
I can't give you a source, but weaker or less experienced jedi will succumb to force lightening.
It's not a simple counter measure to hold a lightsaber in front of it. It is a jedi skill in itself. 40 Year Old Virgin 07:18, September 3, 2011 (UTC)
Remember that we don't get to see all of Luke's training with either Ben or Yoda. Either one could have told him about the Force lightning. ~Savage 02:44, September 4, 2011 (UTC)
