As discussed in the 'Forum Categories are changing soon: Looking for input and opinions' thread and the 'PSA: Category Change and Thread Migration' thread, the /d Discussion Community Forums require name changes to the current 'categories' to better equipe the community's needs.

Many threads have been manually migrated to fit the proposed changes. Therefore, the order of the proposed changes are very specific and very necessary.

1- General >> Stays the same

2- SPOILER:Movies/TV >> Renamed to 'Chewie News'

3- SPOILER:Books/Comics >> Renamed to 'SPOILERS'

4- Theories & Analysis >>Renamed to 'Fact-Based Analysis

5- Rumors/Leaks >>Stays the same

6- Wiki Editing >>Stays the same

7- HOF:Discussion >>Renamed to 'Hall of Fame'

8- HOF:Other >>Renamed to 'Forum Projects'

9- Forum Games/Humor >>Renamed to 'Forum Fun'

10- Forum Help >>Stays the same

Please advise if you need anything else from me. Thank you. --ChristopherLeeGallant (talk) 01:30, May 8, 2017 (UTC)

  • With the exception of "Chewie News," I've made the changes. For now I changed "Chewie News" to just "News" since I don't think new contributors will understand what "Chewie News" means. I reason that because, to be honest, I don't really know what it means. How does just going with "News" sound to you? - Brandon Rhea(talk) 02:30, May 8, 2017 (UTC)
    • It's a play on words... Wookieepedia and Chewie. The idea was to make it more 'friendly'. To 'brand' it as a community thing. But if you don't think it's appropriate, I'm more then OK with that. Thanks for reaching out Brandon. --ChristopherLeeGallant (talk) 02:36, May 8, 2017 (UTC)
      • Yeah, I would say that makes sense if you're in the know on the play on words, but for new contributors they may not fully understand that. We could always call it Star Wars News? That way it's not just "News" which is kinda lame by itself. - Brandon Rhea(talk) 02:41, May 8, 2017 (UTC)
