Jang has seen fit to redact all of my votes to the QOTD, citing WP:SIV. He refers to the addition from the last Mofference disqualifying people from voting if they have {{User left}} tags on their page, as I do. WP:SIV prevents people from voting on policy. It explicitly "exclude[s] 'fun' votes such as Mister/Miss Star Wars and WP:QOTD." People have created brand new accounts to participate in both of these events, and to try denying me the ability to vote on these "fun" votes is silly. • Quote of the Day is listed under "Votes affected" on WP:SIV, unlike Mister and Miss Star Wars. In accordance, QOTD falls under the 50 edit requirement. Therefore, according to the additional provisions, you need to regain your voting privileges. From what I can see, Jang is technically correct in striking your vote. 1358 (Talk) 20:27, April 5, 2014 (UTC)
  • (edit conflict) It has been pointed out to me that, despite the wording excluding WP:QOTD as "fun" votes in the productivity requirement, the WP:QOTD page is listed under the pages falling under the policy. QOTD is not a matter of site policy. It's for fun. This is still silly. NaruHina Talk Anakinsolo 20:30, April 5, 2014 (UTC)
    • In which case WP:SIV needs to be amended. And this needs to be done through a CT. 1358 (Talk) 20:32, April 5, 2014 (UTC)
      • That is true. It's not easy getting enough votes as it is, and keeping people who want to help with that out is not constructive. NaruHina Talk Anakinsolo 20:35, April 5, 2014 (UTC)
