Hello, and thank you for reading my message. I am not a new user of Wookieepedia, but I am a bit new to the activist role. So if I'm doing this right, then great! If not, let me know. But back to business. Whenever you read an article and such you see the basic Behind the scenes, Appearances, and Sources. But what if someone new to the Star Wars Universe wants to know the genious behind the character, whether it be Darth Bane or Bastila Shan someone out there will be curious enough to wonder these things. So I propose the constuction of a Creator section in all articles. Let's see where this goes. —Unsigned comment byOmega-50 (talk • contribs).
This has been suggested before, but if you want to determine that as closely as possible, just look up the author of the first source the character appeared in. But we can't specifically identify that sometimes. Who came up with Kyle Katarn? The writer for the Dark Forces game? A programmer? Some combination of people? And just because a character "originated" in some author's work, who is to say that they weren't thought up by a team (like all three authors working on LOTF), or suggested by Shelly Shapiro or Sue Rostini or someone? It's just not possible to truly accurately do, calls for speculation, and not worth patrolling for fanon to add the bits and pieces that we do know for sure. Wildyoda 02:51, 21 June 2007 (UTC)
All the more reason to insert a creator section, don't you think.Tutos Lumenarious 22:27, 21 June 2007 (UTC)
I think this kind of information, if available, belongs in the Behind the Scenes section. Something that, in most cases, would only be 2 or 3 lines (or none at all) does not deserve it's own section. Or at least that's my opinion on the matter. And I think something like this might even invite Fanon. --Jedimca0(Do or Do Not, There is No Try) 22:58, 21 June 2007 (UTC)
Put it in BTS if it's known who created the character. Chack Jadson 23:59, 21 June 2007 (UTC)
There is already a List of characters by author. We don't have to put it in the articles, especially not if it's speculative. Commander Daal 13:48, 26 June 2007 (UTC)
Speaking of the List of characters by author. Why isnt George Lucas in there because he probably created most if not all, of the characters from the movies?Chaos Sith Lord 20:26, 1 July 2007 (UTC)
