Per Acky, this is getting old. Greyman(Paratus) 14:48, 10 July 2007 (UTC)
I find it humerous that you call that a personal attack. Red has been known to throw some out there a lot, but that is hardly one of them. supergeeky1The Cantina 14:50, 10 July 2007 (UTC)
Here is Redemption's message:
"*Since voting would be redundant...I'm going to be frank. If you are honestly going to pull this sort of shit here then the truth is that I would not want you to be editing on the pure and simple reason of lack of maturity. This is simply flouncing at it's worst. You put Jack Nebulax to shame with this sort crap. This is the internet. Nobody gives a damn about your feelings. Quit feeling sorry for yourself and just edit, Goddammit. --RedemptionTalk 22:13, 9 July 2007 (UTC)"
This is a bit of both, actually - he's telling you what you need to understand, JK, but he's doing it in his usual manner - which is up front, direct, and yes, personal. You seek attention for attention's sake, this cannot be denied.--Goodwood 15:02, 10 July 2007 (UTC)
Redemption is not a very tactful fellow, and he is hopefully working on that (/pokes Redemption). But one thing he is good at is what Goodwood said: saying things in a direct, clear manner. I don't know you at all or anything about your contribs even. But your threat to leave is indicative to me of your attitude. We don't need to convince you to stay. My response to ultimatums is: leave. If you are giving us an ultimatum, then it is because you don't really want to be here anyway. People come here to contribute simply because it's fun and they love Star Wars. If you want to leave, then leave. You don't need to make a show of it, and ask anyone to beg you to stay. I would say that Redemption's use of profanity directed toward another user was inappropriate, and had he compared *me* to Jack, I'd take it as a personal attack. Seems my fellow admins disagree on this point, though, so it's moot. Nonetheless, Redemption WAS accurate, albeit harsh and nearly personal attack-y about it. "Quit feeling sorry for yourself and just edit, Goddammit" is good advice. jSarek 10:39, 11 July 2007 (UTC)
