While I was updating the Futhork article, I came across this Template:Alphabet. It looks like it hasn't been used anywhere—even Aurebesh, the most prominent alphabet article, has its own special infobox. Is there a reason for that? Also, I gave up using it for the Furthork because I didn't know what I was supposed to fill the "sample" field with. I tried adding a picture of Iain's flight helmet in it, but it only produced a hideous, blocky infobox with two huge pictures in it. Any thoughts? —Unsigned comment byLelalMekha (talk • contribs).
Hm. It looks like it was made for use on a project, but never really made the jump to mainspace. Checking the history, it seems like it was depreciated by the infobox used on Aurebesh, which does look cleaner in appearance. Trak NarRamble on 02:59, January 9, 2013 (UTC)
But the infobox used for Aurebesh seems to have been tailored for it ; it includes a map of all the characters at the bottom, which we can't include for Futhork. --LelalMekha (talk) 12:15, January 9, 2013 (UTC)
Hm. Well, I guess the alphabet template was simply overlooked. May as well start using it now. As for how to use it... no idea. The project page on which it's implemented may shed some light on that, though. Trak NarRamble on 02:35, January 10, 2013 (UTC)
I see. That template doesn't look too nice, in my humble opinion. It's a little bit... heavy. Couldn't we design a new one that we could use for all the articles of the "writing systems" category? --LelalMekha (talk) 13:59, January 13, 2013 (UTC)
