I'm currently working on Mazicia Organa and I googled her name the other day just to see what comes up, not expecting to see much more than our article here. However, to my surprise, it seems that she is mentioned on p. 13 of Star Wars Blueprints: Rebel Edition according to Amazon.com, but unfortunately that particular page isn't included in their preview. So if anyone has the book, I'd be grateful if s/he could post the relevant passage either here or on my talk page.
I'd also be interested in knowing whether Mazicia Organa is mentioned in Star Wars: The Official Starships & Vehicles Collection 29. Since the issue focuses on the Tantive IV and she was the one who originally commissioned the ship, I suppose there could be an indirect mention at least. The same issue apparently mentions the Alderaan Ascendancy Contention—I've been working slowly (very much so XD) on that article too in the hopes that I might FA it sometime in the next decade or so, and the Vehicles and Vessels issue is the only source I haven't been able to get my hands on, so I'd appreciate it very much if anyone would be so kind as to tell me what the issue says about the contention. Thanks in advance for any assistance! Tinwe(comlink) 08:28, August 21, 2012 (UTC)
It's actually on page 15 of Blueprints. The Corellian Engineering Corvette CR90 is the starship of choice for everyone from respectable diplomats to notorious pirates. More than a decade before the Clone Wars, Queen Mazicia Organa of the planet Alderaan commissioned the Star of Alderaan to serve as a consular vessel for Senator Agrippa Aldrete. After the queen's son, Bail Organa, ascended to Viceroy became a Senatorial representative, he renamed the ship to Tantive IV in tribute to visiting ambassadors from the Tantive system. It served House Organa for 30 years until its capture by the Empire, after which Darth Vader ordered it to be destroyed.
Thank you very much! I wasn't really expecting to see any new info there, but again I was wrong: now we know for sure that Mazicia was Bail's mother! :D Tinwe(comlink) 12:36, August 21, 2012 (UTC)
