Could someone please check Star Wars: Republic 64: Bloodlines for info on the Maladian assassins? They are not mentioned in the comic, but a female assassin later identified as a Maladian kills Vidar Kim. If there's any info you think relevant to the article, I'd love to know. Thanks for your time, 501st dogma(talk) 19:24, August 7, 2012 (UTC)
- Anyone? 501st dogma(talk) 21:17, August 10, 2012 (UTC)
- There isn't much info to be honest. The one who comes after Kim and his Jedi son Ronhar attacks them from a speeder bike using a blaster pistol. When the Jedi reaches him and asks who the target was and who hired him the assassin says 'Can't... tell you...Contract...'. Ronhar then attempts to persuade him with the force and the assassin says 'want to...' and then before finishing injects himself with some kind of poison that kills him instantly and causes him to foam at the mouth excessively. Ronhar recognises the same kind of poison injector 20 years later when two senate guards attempt to assassinate Palpatine. He again tries to question one of the assassins and uses the force to persuade him to reveal who hired him. The assassin replies 'It...It...It was..' then injects and kills himself too with the same injection and mouth foaming. If these guards are also Maladian assassins like the one who attack Vidar isn't mentioned. Hope that helps if there's anything else about the comic you need to know just ask. - Thanks! I don't think we can speculate that the senate guards were Maladians, since other groups could have had the same injector as well. Out of curiosity, is the Maladian that killed Vidar refered to as a male? Darth Plagueis says it's a female. Thanks again! 501st dogma(talk) 00:40, August 11, 2012 (UTC)
- No problem. Your right about the speculation I just wondered if they'd been mentioned in Plagueis too. The assassin doesn't seem to be refered to as either gender and is only mentioned in dialogue as the assassin when Ronhar is talking to Palpatine after the attack. - Though they were not mentioned in Darth P, I think I'll put something in the BtS about the possibility of those guards being Maladians. Thanks again! 501st dogma(talk) 13:33, August 11, 2012 (UTC)
- Actualy, I won't put anything in the BtS. From Palp's article it sounds like Palpatine arranged the attack to allow him to have Sun Guards, and it's unlikely that he would hire the Maladians if he knew Kim would kill them instantly. He'd probally hire some ruffians to do it instead. 501st dogma(talk) 16:06, August 11, 2012 (UTC)
