Sorry if this is covered elsewhere but when the new movie comes out wont it basically replace every event that we currently know about after the battle of endor. Will we have to go though and delete every expanded universe event that takes place after endor or are we going to treat this like the expanded universe is some alternative universe timeline and that everything the new movie adds is the new cannon timeline. Thanks for the responses. —Unsigned comment by 199.120.117.2 (talk • contribs).
- Rule 13 of the KB, applicable here: "For that matter, do not ask about any details about Episodes VII, VIII, and IX. We don't know." We'll cross that bridge when we come to it, but nothing is getting deleted. NaruHina Talk 07:17, December 3, 2012 (UTC)
- (edit conflict) It's too early to tell at the moment. We definitely won't be deleting any articles --- if the current Expanded Universe is deemed a non-canon alternate universe, we'll have to figure out our game plan as a community, but we certainly won't be deleting anything. - Just seems so unlikely that the current Expanded universe will stay cannoned and I just worry about how the site will transition. In the early days when they ran off the exodus folk the claim was this site was for the official universe only and I agreed with them then that their was no use just having a bunch of excess pages on the site if they weren't part of the official cannon. Isn't this the same scenario or am I just reading into nothing. Thanks again for the comments. —Unsigned comment by 199.120.117.2 (talk • contribs).
- We love official non-canon stuff. NaruHina Talk 07:56, December 3, 2012 (UTC)
- Yeah, anything officially released by Lucasfilm has a home here, even if it's non-canon. Fan-fic, not so much. Menkooroo (talk) 08:05, December 3, 2012 (UTC)
- When we see content released, we'll adjust to it. Oh and cannon go boom! -- Riffsyphon1024 23:19, December 6, 2012 (UTC)
Alright good to hear I'm glade this site is ready for this and isn't the Armageddon I feared but if i can ask one more question why can't I delete or request a topic be archived? —Unsigned comment by 199.120.117.2 (talk • contribs).
- Messages in forum threads and on talk pages are a matter of public record and should not be removed. An admin will get around to archiving the topic, usually after about two weeks of inactivity. Trak Nar Ramble on 08:21, December 3, 2012 (UTC)
- One month, actually, Which reminds me: I never did my usual Monday forum cleanup today. —MJ— Jedi Council Chambers 03:28, December 4, 2012 (UTC)
The day they release plot details is the day we all possibly call it "Starmageddon". That unless they actually film it based on the novels.-Boba fett 32 (talk) 06:10, December 6, 2012 (UTC)
- It's been confirmed the the new films will be using an original storyline, so no novel plotlines unfortunately. Commander Code-8 To say hi, press 42 09:52, December 6, 2012 (UTC)
