I have come to raise a question of parentage, particularly of the mothers of Triclops and Trioculus.
Many times I have seen the proclamations on their pages that Sly is Triclops' mother, and Niobi is Trioculus'. I now highlight that such is an unlikely comparison. For various reasons:
Aliens in the Empire apparently is the only known source that justifies that Niobi is the parent of Trioculus, yet there is no mention of him, only Triclops. I cannot seek out the Source itself, because it is gone from Starwars.com - http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Aliens_in_the_Empire
Palpatine had an invested interest in Niobi's child, and knew of its existence. Yet Sly had a child in absolute secrecy, and we are expected that Palpatine not only knew of but had high expectations for this child, a child that may not have been his?
Triclops is older than Trioculus, and given the age that Sly apparently died in childbirth, the described younger and more handsome Trioculus fits the bill more so than Triclops who looks a decade older at least.
Additionally, this was a child's book. If Triclops was Sly's child, then he would have had a child with Kendalina when he was ten or eleven years old at the oldest. I know he's a mutant, but how genetic likely is that to happen?
Additionally, in the Source Prophets of the Dark Side (book) there is no mention of Sly being Triclops' mother. There are mentions of a woman having a Three Eyed Son, and in a completely separate source, Sly had a three eyed son. Long before then, Sly procured a woman Niobi to partake experiments that gave her a three eyed son.
