I don't know about you, but my mind was blown. If Lucasfilm has provided omni-directional, zoom-able, 360 degree panoramas for the interior of the creature shop used in Episode VII, the cockpit for the T-70 X-wing fighter, and the Millennium Falcon, I was thinking—what if we added a panorama feature to Wookieepedia allowing users to zoom around inside some of their favorite vehicles? Not only would this allow for even greater visual representation of Star Wars ships and locales, but truly give Wookieepedia the right to call itself the "Ultimate Source for Star Wars Knowledge." Wikipedia already uses panoramas for its articles, so why don't we as well?
While we would probably need to mess with the code a bit, this added feature could really improve articles where 360° views of locations would be appropriate and available. Not only is 360° technology becoming more prevalent in our everyday lives, but Wookieepedia must evolve with the times to remain relevant with the next generation of Star Wars fans. The only question would to be whether to add the panorama as a single scrolling image from left/right, or as the Star Wars site has it. I'd be down for either. - Commander Boots 21:15, April 30, 2016 (UTC)
It's an interesting idea, but I don't see how Wookieepedia would do this. It would have to be an actual feature, and there are no plans for this sort of thing at Wikia right now. Like Wikipedia, though, we do sometimes use available panorama images in articles. Coruscant/Legends has a big panoramic image on it. - Brandon Rhea(talk) 21:40, April 30, 2016 (UTC)
