So, I've been wondering this a long time. What is the reasoning for not having a poll on the main page? Is it simply space, or is it for some other reason? I personally like to see what poll a wiki has when I visit, and I usually vote. I think it makes the site a tad bit more interactive, and it's a fun way to get general opinions on a wiki's topic. Is there a way we could efficiently add a poll section to the main page? If so, I would say it would be a good idea to do so? We could just designate an established user to take care of the polls. Saying that it would make us like Facebook is a little harsh. It's not the freaking Message Wall and it isn't really any less professional than Mr./Mrs. Star Wars and April Fool's Day. Personally, I'm just not interested in one and the person(s) maintaining it would pretty much be on their own, so it would be a big commitment on their part if it were implemented. Personally, I find the April Fool's Day jokes to be a lot more unprofessional that having a poll, but I really don't see the need for a poll on the main page either.--Exiled Jedi (Greetings) 01:29, October 6, 2011 (UTC)
