Apparently Wikia is de-officializing their IRC channel, which also means that you will no longer be able to request so called IRC cloaks (details). If you are an IRC user/have yet to become one and you want a wikia cloak, Wikia staff still takes last minute cloak requests.   • Apparently w:c:cloak is now gone, but sannse is as far as I know still taking last minute requests. In IRC, you can /whois sannse, and if she's online, /msg sannse yourmessage. Alternatively, you could use her talk page. 1358 ^(Talk) 20:22, October 28, 2011 (UTC)
• For what do I know, at this point there shouldn't be any reason why we couldn't have wookieepedia cloaks when wikia cloaks are no longer available. Most likely it would roughly mean that some (like bureaucrats or named admins?) would represent the community and decide who gets the cloak (required formality by freenode).   • I've talked about this with sannse in #wikia, and she said she could possibly drop #wookieepedia from the GRF (group registration form). This would allow a contact person from Wookieepedia to file a new GRF only compassing this wiki.
