Hi guys! I've never done this before, and also, I'm sorry if this has already been discussed, but... I just saw the "You were my brother, Anakin! I loved you!"-banner for the first time, and if I understood correctly, you plan to put every non-canon info - e.g. everything from the newly formed "Legends"-banner - into some sort of tab. Now, first of all, I was surprised to see that apparently not even the "Clone Wars" tv-show is canon anymore (I found that banner at the wiki-entry for "Downfall of a Droid"), but that's neither here nor there. I just wanted to make a suggestion about how to deal with all the EU-stuff that has now been discarded, and I hope I won't get shot first for bringing up "Star Trek", but... I think it probably would be best to deal with it like the Star Trek-wiki does. There's Memory Alpha for all the canon-info and Memory Beta for all the licensed work. Thus, how 'bout exporting all legends-stuff into it's own wiki? Just a suggestion...
The Clone Wars is still Canon. The "You were my brother, Anakin" banner isn't saying that the subject is Legends. Quite the contrary. It means that the subject is Canon, but has Legends links in it that need to be removed. We haven't yet fixed up all of the episode pages for The Clone Wars; same goes for Episodes I-VI. As for moving all Legends content to another wikia, that would cause significant damage to Wookieepedia, which is known for being a resource for all in-universe Star Wars knowledge. The Canon/Legends announcement shouldn't change that. The solution we've implemented with "Canon" and "Legends" tabs (for example, see here) is a pretty good one, I think. - Brandon Rhea(talk) 14:54, October 5, 2014 (UTC)
I agree. There's no need to spin-off a new wiki at this point. The system that we have is working. If you visit the Canon tab, you'll see only material that is considered to be Canon. If you visit the Legends tab, you'll see only material from Legends, which may also include info that is considered Canon, but existed as part of the Star Wars Legends continuity as well. No big deal. As Brandon indicated, the templates you're seeing are just related to maintenance-- they're letting us here on the site know that the page in question is supposed to be covering only Canon material, but needs attention because it still has stuff from Legends in it.
