Hey guys, (and gals) I have a proposal; I would like to make a group for Wookieepedia on the PC gaming software known as Steam. My main objective is to have place where we could meet up and organize events when EA starts releasing games, starting with Battlefront later this year. And yes, I am aware EA no longer publishes through Steam, but there is a way around that; in the bottom left of the Steam home page thing there's a "Add non-Steam games to Steam" button. If this goes through I would like to make the group and stuff of that matter. Who's with me?!
Regardless, here's my Steam profile, add me: http://steamcommunity.com/id/Nivlacanator
P.S. that guy in my picture is not me. It's a long story.

- A Steam group would be rather useful for current and future projects related to Star Wars games. Imagine a bunch of people in the chat, with a couple playing a new game, and of course updating and talking about it while they play it. It could potentially quicken up some of the research aspects of the game. --Clonehunter(Report your W.M.D.) 18:07, April 1, 2015 (UTC)
- I have Steam, so I might be interested, but I only have two games on it at the moment and both of them are Final Fantasy titles. Still, if such a group were formed, I would definitely take a look into it. ProfessorTofty (talk) 20:08, April 1, 2015 (UTC)
- Cool-beans, I'm just waiting for approval from someone who has real authority, then it will exist! Calvin Schubert(talk) 04:13, April 9, 2015 (UTC)
- Any word yet? This looked interesting. --Clonehunter(Report your W.M.D.) 06:20, May 6, 2015 (UTC)

- As I understand this, you're looking to create a Wookieepedia Steam group for the purpose of organizing updates to video game articles? I don't think you need any kind of admin approval for this; it's akin to a WookieeProject, just organized in an external arena suited to the medium. I will note that we already have Wookieepedia:WookieeProject Video Games, which has recently fallen inactive; perhaps you might want to try to revive that and combine the Steam group with the WookieeProject? At any rate, just be aware that if you use the Wookieepedia name publicly in the group, then all members of the group are representing Wookieepedia and your words and actions reflect back on us, so don't do anything that could cast Wookieepedia in a bad light (in particular, don't discuss illegal pirated games in a place where the public can see). :) —MJ— Training Room 07:18, May 6, 2015 (UTC)
- Super-late-reply is go. Yes, basically. But also to just organize/jump into games with Wookieepedians. I thought about the WookieeProject too; I'll look into that. I'll probably make it a private group (invitation only), but we could do it openly similar to the way the Wook pages for Facebook and Twitter are run. Well, I'll make the page soon, and report back what has been done once it is done! Nivlacanator(talk) 04:00, June 3, 2015 (UTC)
- * Nuku-Nuku would like to remind everyone that Wookieepedia supports all applicable copyright laws. Plus, Steam/Valve bans people for that sort of thing. Anyway, we already have a TOR guild, so this doesn't seem much different in function, just in scope/scale. -- Darth Culator (Talk) 16:55, June 3, 2015 (UTC)
- A TOR Guild is pretty specific to a single game, though. It is pretty different. More people probably use Steam in some fashion than they play TOR enough to make use of the guild for discussions and whatnot. --Clonehunter(Report your W.M.D.) 21:07, June 6, 2015 (UTC)
- I'm in, as long as we constantly play TF2. - AV-6R7User talk:AV-6R7 21:09, June 6, 2015 (UTC)
- The group has been made! Come join, (it's private). And yes, Av, we will play TF2! Link here: http://steamcommunity.com/groups/Wookieepedia Nivlacanator(talk) 05:18, June 10, 2015 (UTC)
- If it's private we have to be invited. Here's my profile: http://steamcommunity.com/id/clonehunter I think we're on our lists already. --Clonehunter(Report your W.M.D.) 20:13, June 11, 2015 (UTC)
