TOR has a bunch of protagonists that each has their own storyline in the game (eight of them, in fact). These all have a fairly large impact on galactic affairs—some more than others, but still enough to absolutely warrant that each of these gets their own article. Now, seeing as there is no canon name associated with any of these, we need to manufacture some IU conjectural article titles.
All we know about these characters is their class and (roughly) how their storyline goes. So the titles would likely have to incorporate job title somehow. The eight are as follows:
- Jedi Knight
- Jedi Consular
- Smuggler
- Trooper
- Sith Warrior
- Sith Inquisitor
- Imperial Agent
- Bounty Hunter
Any ideas for how to approach this? --Imperialles 05:34, December 3, 2011 (UTC)
- This is what I have on WP:TOR's character page:
- Unidentified bounty hunter (Cold War)
- Unidentified Imperial Agent (Cold War)
- Unidentified Jedi Consular (Cold War)
- Unidentified Jedi Knight (Cold War)
- Unidentified Republic trooper (Cold War)
- Unidentified Sith Inquisitor (Cold War)
- Unidentified Sith Warrior (Cold War)
- Unidentified smuggler (Cold War)
- Seems simple enough. They'll all need the (Cold War) identifier, as they are sure to be other "unidentified Sith Inquisitors" in the game. NPCs will just have to have parentheticals that denote their location or a descriptor. Darth Trayus(Trayus Academy) 06:14, December 3, 2011 (UTC)
- And depending on what canon rank is eventually officially assigned to these characters, we can easily move the Knight or Consular to "Unidentified Jedi Master (Cold War)" and "Unidentified Jedi Consular Master (Cold War)".
- We'll also need to determine how easy it will be to align the articles with a pure light-side path per precedent, there's supposed to be a LOT of options that affect your lightside/dark side socre. That's assuming no-one in a position of canon authority makes any declarations otherwise. DD97Which bear is best? 16:15, December 3, 2011 (UTC)
- Why would the Sith characters follow a pure light-side path? Wouldn't they follow the dark side path? Master Jonathan — Jedi Council Chambers Saturday, December 3, 2011, 16:27 UTC
- That's going to be the real trick, I should have phrased it as a matter of "if" instead of "how". We need to decide how we want to establish policy for this, as up to this point we've never had a player character ever NOT follow the light side path canonically if given a choice. - The titles Trayus provided seem good enough for now. In regards to light side/dark side, we can't really make any assumptions. Unless some official word comes out, we are forced to account for both sets of events. Another tricky issue is working out the kinks of non-class-specific quests. Do we go with the "unknown spacer" of SWG, or something along those lines? --Imperialles 00:53, December 4, 2011 (UTC)
- I haven't played extensively, so I'm wondering... are there many quests that are available to members of both factions? I'm a little more inclined to say "agents of the Empire" or "agents of the Republic," as "spacer" is a term that doesn't really encompass, say, a trooper or an agent or a Jedi Master or Sith Lord. For the quests that are available to both, we could say "agents of the Empire and Republic" or somesuch. Darth Trayus(Trayus Academy) 01:09, December 4, 2011 (UTC)
