So it's still a while till Star Wars: The Old Republic is released, however already gameplay footage is being uploaded onto YouTube. The footage also includes some of the cutscenes from the game which feature NPCs talking and intoducing themselves. For example, here's two videos users have uploaded:

As you watch through the videos, you'll see new characters, new organisations and locations which not being user created, is already established in the Star Wars canon.
Although not officially uploaded, can we already start creating articles about characters and locations which appear in this footage or shall we wait till the game is fully released? --Victory93 03:46, November 8, 2011 (UTC)
- No. Per Forum:CT Archive/Preparing for TOR, content from the beta is prohibited on Wookieepedia, and as noted therein, Bioware has informed us that if such content appears on Wookieepedia and they are aware of it, they will ask us to remove it. - It's also doubtful that that information/those videos will remain online for very long. As a participant in one of the weekend betas, I can confirm that the NDA for the TOR beta is very strict. Uploading images/videos from the beta carries with it the very real possibility of having EA/Bioware sue you into oblivion, so I wouldn't recommend that we use unauthorized material. - But it might be interesting to save those beta videos for future use. MMOs change a lot, so in a few years it could be very interesting to compare the pre-launch videos to the latest version of the game to see how quests and locations have changed in the mean time. --91.67.132.42 16:36, November 10, 2011 (UTC)
- Maybe, but they can't be saved on Wookieepedia, for all the above reasons. DD97Which bear is best? 16:52, November 10, 2011 (UTC)

So now that the NDA has been lifted, does that mean we can now create articles or use information from beta footage? --Victory93 03:36, November 28, 2011 (UTC)
- Per the discussion here, you can create basic stubs and upload screenshots, as long as you don't include any spoilers until release and make sure that all screenshots are clearly marked as being from a pre-release build. Master Jonathan — Jedi Council Chambers Monday, November 28, 2011, 03:46 UTC
