Forums > Senate Hall archive > SH Archive/"Preceded/Followed by" fields for comics?

Could these be added to comic infoboxes? We have them for novels already, and could be used either for comic arcs or for the entire timeline. It'd make navigating through single issues a lot easier, at least - \\Captain Kwenn// Ahoy! 18:15, 25 January 2007 (UTC)

  • This sounds like a really good idea, even if it's only one before, on after (like what they did for Palpatine, Ysanne Isard, and other Emperors, as well as battles). Jorrel Fraajic Wiki-shrinkable 19:36, 25 January 2007 (UTC)
    • Yeah, I think we've talked about doing this before (especially for the Marvel books) but never got anywhere. I'd love to see it happen. -- Ozzel 19:44, 25 January 2007 (UTC)
      • Honestly, it wouldn't take all that much to make a new template, just copy-paste stuff. The main problem I see is actually applying that template to all of the comic articles. Jorrel Fraajic Wiki-shrinkable 20:09, 25 January 2007 (UTC)
  • Indeed. I hated going back to the series article just to go to the next issue. -- Riffsyphon1024 22:40, 25 January 2007 (UTC)

  • Cool, although perhaps the titles could be in italics? - \\Captain Kwenn// Ahoy! 08:32, 26 January 2007 (UTC)
    • Like this? Jorrel Fraajic Wiki-shrinkable 15:25, 26 January 2007 (UTC)
      • We can put the italics in the actual template so you don't have to add it yourself. —Xwing328(Talk) 18:08, 26 January 2007 (UTC)
      • I figured you could, but I just wanted to see what it looked like and basically show others. Jorrel Fraajic Wiki-shrinkable 06:16, 27 January 2007 (UTC)
        • I regenerated {{Comic book}}. It's more like the others now. No field names were changed, but some were moved around to fit under the proper headings, like with {{Book}}. See Star Wars: Empire 13: What Sin Loyalty? for an example of the new template with all fields filled in. If we keep this design, {{Comic story}} will need to be updated as well. —Xwing328(Talk) 22:23, 26 January 2007 (UTC)
          • Looks great! But should we be leaving out the series names or should we not? -- Ozzel 23:21, 26 January 2007 (UTC)
            • I don't think we should take it out. It's helpful to have. —Xwing328(Talk) 23:29, 26 January 2007 (UTC)
              • Agreed. Although I would suggest moving it so it's right above the "preceding" and "following" sections. Jorrel Fraajic Wiki-shrinkable 06:16, 27 January 2007 (UTC)
