I've been considering the concept of the 'Rise of the Empire' era for a while. The problem I see with it is at present, articles from the end of the New Sith Wars through to the period of the Galactic Empire are classed as 'Rise of the Empire' era.

However, that covers over 1000 years of IU history. ok, so if you check the timeline here nothing is recorded happening for around 900 years, but this is my qualm.

Can we really consider the Earliest part of this period included to be a part of the Rise of the Empire (yes, i know it only includes Rule of Two at present), as they are unrelated to Palapatine's plan to forge the first galactic empire?

I think not, so I'm motioning that the period 1,000 - 900 BBY remains just the 'Old Republic' Era, and everything from 100 - 0 BBY is classed as the 'Rise of the Empire' Era.

Does anyone agree? Or am I just talking gamorrean with a host of Basic-speakers?

  • Read this. We didn't invent it, label it, place it, or otherwise affect it. We can only deal with it. -- Darth Culator (Talk) 14:10, 17 April 2008 (UTC)
    • Thanks for that, Culator. Clears it all up for me. Darth Xadún 08:08, 18 April 2008 (UTC)
