I know this hasn't really got alot to do with Star Wars but does anybody here know how to make .gif images? I need one so that i can place it in my signature and despite spending hours looking it up, i have so far failed to grasp the technique :(. Any help would be appreciated. Many thanks. • Save the picture in the .gif format. Do like this, if you have a JPEG-picture on your computer, edit and save as .gif format instead. Then upload the picture. Should be easily done. LorthNeedaStriptease 14:28, 13 October 2006 (UTC)
    • I can do that, but what i need is to edit my signature so that it looks say, grainy or something. It's not a static image. Darth Abeonis Sith Council (Sith campaign) 18:30, 13 October 2006 (UTC)
  • Ok, well follow the instructions at Wookieepedia:Frequently asked questions#Signatures. You have probably already done that, but start all over again. Actually I don't know how to include images in sigs. Otherwise you will have to ask someone else who already has a picture. Sorry, but I can't do anymore. • Are you talking about an animated GIF? I'm pretty sure those aren't allowed. -- Ozzel 21:48, 13 October 2006 (UTC)
      • Please, please do not put an animated GIF in your signature! We really don't want that sort of thing to become common around here. A static image is fine and good, but an animated image is incredibly distracting.–SentryTalk 07:00, 14 October 2006 (UTC)
        • It's not for this wiki. So it doesn't matter, i was just hoping that people over here might now how. But does anybody know how? Darth Abeonis Sith Council (Sith campaign) 18:54, 14 October 2006 (UTC)
          • Try a website like this - http://www.gifworks.com - but please don't use them here. Good luck making it. --Xwing328(Talk) 03:28, 16 October 2006 (UTC)
            • If you have photoshop or any similar layer-based image editing software, you can create GIF animation pretty easily. Otherwise, you will have to use gifworks.com or download a freeware GIF creation tool. Just go to download.com and type 'animated gif' in the search field… –SentryTalk 03:40, 16 October 2006 (UTC)
