Would it be a good idea in the Behind the Scenes section of some articles such as the Galactic Empire to include real world governments, situations or places they were based on.

For example:

Do you think that it is safe enough? Could we get into trouble with certain governments? Please feel free to add more comments. MyNz 8:24, 25 March 2006 (UTC)

  • First and foremost, it's "Behind the scenes". Besides, your proposed additions are highly speculative and POV. - Sikon [Talk] 08:43, 25 March 2006 (UTC)
    • Allright, I understand. Maybe we remove such realworld parallels from all articles. MyNz 8:51, 25 March 2006 (UTC)
      • If such content is added, the writer of the content should either give a reliable source, or base it on comments Lucas has made. This way we can provide useful and interesting info, without Wookieepedia becoming a political battleground of reverts. Adamwankenobi 10:23, 25 March 2006 (UTC)
        • Sounds good though we should get everyone including all the administrators to agree to do so. MyNz 10:32, 25 March 2006 (UTC)
          • Yup, insofar as the parallels may be documented with reference to an official Lucas-related source, then such info should definately be included with clear and unambiguous reference to the source. If the source is not official (say, like Dr. Saxton's theories, the essays in Star Wars and Philosophy which provide philosiphical analyses of topics from Star Wars, ideas from The Tao of Star Wars, or Dhrama of Star Wars or Wisdom of the Jedi which compare Star Wars to various religions) then I think it's okay to include the info (given that the info's interesting), but again explicit reference should be made to the sources and it should be made explicit that the sources are not official.
