Becouse of recent spam on w:c:pl.starwars, Biblioteka Ossus has beed added by me to Spam Blacklist. I'm giving you a notice becouse of some external links to Ossus you have. Szoferka 06:04, 13 January 2007 (UTC)

It's vandalism not spam. It's not deserve to be added to Spam Blacklist. Szoferka why you do everything to discredit Ossus Library? DantE 10:10, 13 January 2007 (UTC)

What did that translate to — "Biblioteka Ossus is better than Empirepedia" or something like that? —Silly Dan (talk) 13:31, 13 January 2007 (UTC)

It would be "if you wanna to contribute to a real Star Wars encyclopedia, click here". Szoferka 15:12, 13 January 2007 (UTC)
Not a good way to try and merge the two communities (as I think most of the primarily Anglophone Wookieepedians would like to see happen), but I wouldn't consider it spam. A violation of "no personal attacks" policies which would be worth blocking Prymonek for a while, perhaps. —Silly Dan (talk) 15:33, 13 January 2007 (UTC)
Spam isn't personal attack. Situation is clear for me. It wasn't first time when Biblioteka Ossus was spamming ([1]) and they have been noticed that next time they will be added to Spam Blacklist. You would say, but not all Osuss users were spamming (it's how they defending themselves). Of course, but this was one of active Ossus contributors and his action was taken like every else spam drop. I'm not sure what else we can do: wait for Osuss community decision, saying that they are not spammers, so "please don't block us becouse of our users"? It was spam and it was treated like a spam. Blocking Prymonek on Empirepedia gaves nothing, becouse all his activity there was agitation for Biblioteka Ossus. I'll block him an tommorow I'll hear that freedom of speach is blocked, like now I'm hearing that I'm trying to discredit Ossus or I'm Ossus hater. I don't fucking care about that wiki, like I don't care of any spammers. Szoferka 15:58, 13 January 2007 (UTC)
Well, I'm sorry if I'm misinterpreting a lot of what's going on in the dispute, but I don't read any Polish. All I hear about it is what the Ossus users tell us here: what do the Empirepedia users say about the dispute? —Silly Dan (talk) 17:57, 13 January 2007 (UTC)
So, tell me Szoferka what we can do with person like Prymonek. We asked him to leave Empirepedia, now we block him at Ossus. Nothing else we can do. If you want I can give you some examples when people from Empirepedia attack us, but we didn't demand to close Empirepedia. It's curious that you haven't block Prymonek after this. You are waiting for his next vandalism? DantE 10:30, 14 January 2007 (UTC)

It might be useful to translate the comment for that edit, too. It says test na sprawność adminów:) zobaczymy ile czasu tu będzie...., which means admins' competence test:) let's see, how long this [edit] stays here. For me - an obvious vandalism/trolling, the content being only a means of provoking admin intervention, since Prymonek knew that Szoferka is rather touchy on the matters of Ossus. From the spam black-list talk pageEdit

From szoferka's translation, I would describe this as spam rather than vandalism. It was an advert for another wiki, added without community consent to the main page. That said, I'm not sure of his motivation, given that he doesn't appear to be a member in good standing of Ossus. It's possible the addition to the black-list and the bad feeling this has generated, were the intended outcome. In which case it was pure trolling. Szoferka was justified in adding this to the spam blacklist, but with just one instance of spam, I think it was too soon - although I understand that there have been problems before that made her react quickly in this case.

Of course, appropriate links to Ossus are not spam, but inappropriate and excessive links should be removed and the spammer blocked. If the problem can be solved that way, then we can avoid using the spam blacklist on a site that there are legitimate links to. The most important thing is to not allow this to sour our relationships with our neighbours. We may have wikis on the same subject, but that certainly doesn't mean we can't get along and cooperate with each other - quite the opposite in fact!

I've removed Ossus from the blacklist. -- sannse (talk) 09:59, 15 January 2007 (UTC)
