Hello. I've decided to get a different name. Where on Wookieepedia do I submit a rename request? --Czung-Czung-Czung 11:22, 12 August 2006 (UTC)

  • As far as I know, we don't have that function available to us. StarNeptuneTalk to me! 11:42, 12 August 2006 (UTC)
  • If you mean your user stuff, your name and nickname can be changed in preferences. Changing the user name requires a new account, unless there's something an Admin can do. -Finlayson 18:30, 12 August 2006 (UTC)

However, knowing that a block was possible and that I didn't want my IP blocked, I decided to make a username with a name off of the top of my head. I think "Czung-Czung-Czung" sounds kind of stupid, but if it was for just a few edits, why not?
The results were unexpected- the reverting admin also thought these edits were funny, and Silly Dan eventually even welcomed me! I decided that I should keep these edits, but somehow change my name to something more intelligent. Making the same joke twice, even when someone else (or another account) does it, doesn't make the same splash as it did the first time. It was a "funny once", so I prefer to still associate myself with those edits under this same account but on a different username. --Czung-Czung-Czung 23:51, 16 August 2006 (UTC)
  • We've had previous vandals that kept their user name, so why can't you just keep yours? Fleet Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) (Data file) Imperial Emblem 23:54, 16 August 2006 (UTC)
  • Because it sounds too stupid for me. I was told to ask Angela, but I'm not sure if I know how to word it in a persuading way; persuadingly enough for her to agree to the change. --Czung-Czung-Czung 23:59, 16 August 2006 (UTC)
    • Why not just start fresh with an entirely new username? If you really want to keep continuity with the old username (and with any other usernames you've used), just list them on the new user page. —Silly Dan (talk) 00:10, 17 August 2006 (UTC)
  • I know. why can't you change your username on a wiki?--SWME 16:41, 26 August 2006 (UTC)
  • Phew, I'm glad I picked a sensible-sounding name. Cortle Steeze 16:57, 26 August 2006 (UTC)
