  • Would it be possible to have a category created for vfds? That way, when voting on one, users could check on other current vfds as well, hopefully garnering more participation in the process. If there already is something like that, just point me in the right direction and I'll shut up! Atarumaster88 Jedi Order (Audience Chamber) 06:45, 2 December 2006 (UTC)
    • Currently, no such category exists. However, I have been thinking about creating two VFD categories: one for archived VFD pages and another for active pages.–SentryTalk 06:51, 2 December 2006 (UTC)
    • Category:Pages on votes for deletion is probably what you're looking for, but since this touches on something I asked on the VFD talk page, I'll bring it up here, too: What about using the forum format for VFD? That way, it's easier to tell which VfDs have had recent votes/comments and which haven't, would make the VFD pages easier to create, and automatically link and list them on the main VFD page. Thoughts? jSarek 06:53, 2 December 2006 (UTC)
      • Sounds good to me, as long as it's separate from the Senate Hall or Consensus Track. I just voted on a vfd that didn't have the cat on it, or I didn't see it. Hmmm. Atarumaster88 Jedi Order (Audience Chamber) 06:56, 2 December 2006 (UTC)
        • Duh, I forgot about that… –SentryTalk 06:57, 2 December 2006 (UTC)
          • Wait, I was correct. Category:Pages on votes for deletion lists the articles that are undergoing a VFD. I was referring to the actual VFD pages which are not currently categorized.–SentryTalk 07:03, 2 December 2006 (UTC)
            • Exactly. I was hoping we could have a category on the actual vfd pages. Atarumaster88 Jedi Order (Audience Chamber) 07:05, 2 December 2006 (UTC)
              • Alright. See Category:Votes for deletion. Now I have to start categorizing the pages.–SentryTalk 07:12, 2 December 2006 (UTC)
                • Thanks Sentry. You're the best. ;-) Atarumaster88 Jedi Order (Audience Chamber) 07:34, 2 December 2006 (UTC)
                  • How could I see past this? -- Riffsyphon1024 07:37, 2 December 2006 (UTC)
                    • Alright, all of the subpages are categorized now. That means that if we wish to change the Votes for deletion page to a forum formate, it will be quite easy to do.
While we are on the topic, what do you think about deleting all of the successful VFD pages in the Votes for deletion archive? Personally, I don't see a reason to keep them… –SentryTalk 09:10, 2 December 2006 (UTC)
                      • They're a good guide to the sort of thing we delete, though. —Silly Dan (talk) 12:58, 2 December 2006 (UTC)
                        • True. I guess that they don't do any harm. Those are the sorts of suggestions that I make very late at night. However, I may sort the archive into two subcategories at some point: failed VFDs and successful VFDs.–SentryTalk 23:30, 2 December 2006 (UTC)
                          • In which case you'll need at least a third category, VFDs in progress. Possibly more for other possible results like no consensus and merge. jSarek 02:31, 3 December 2006 (UTC)
  • By the way JSarek, here is a working model of a forum version of the Votes for deletion page:
    • I love it. It has my Support. jSarek 09:19, 3 December 2006 (UTC)

        • Deletionism just got better. -- Ozzel 23:22, 4 December 2006 (UTC)

As I've already said, I like this a lot. Should we create a CT thread to go ahead and forumize VFD? jSarek 02:06, 6 December 2006 (UTC)
