- I've been gone for awhile, so I don't know if this has been covered yet by someone else, and I've looked for a discussion elsewhere and can't find one, so I'll have to ask the question myself. How exactly does the Clone Wars tv series fit into the timeline of the Clone Wars? Since Anakin can't technically take on a Padawan until he himself is no longer a Padawan (which according to the NEC is after Praestilyn), the show should take place after he is knighted in the first mini-series. However, most sources say that the show takes place in 22 BBY. This is supported by the fact that V-19s are seen in one of the episodes. This is the first sourcing conflict. The second conflict is that the Obi-wan and Anakin articles put the content from the series in both the 22 BBY and 19 BBY timeframes, respectively. Which is correct, and if it is unknown, then why are there no conflicting sources tags on these two articles?--Mitth'raw'nuruodo(Imperial HoloNet) 15:17, 12 October 2008 (UTC)
It's a major issue Anakins Knighting and technology puts it around 20BBY,but birth dates put it at 22BBY.I say it's 20BBY because if it was 22BBY it would be stupid. Sith-venator 3:39PM 10-12-08
- Stupid or not, that's the way it is. Lucasfilm is re-writing the Clone Wars timeline, and Anakin is now knighted shortly after the First Battle of Geonosis, with most of the old stories squeezed into the timeframe before that. jSarek 12:55, 13 October 2008 (UTC)
Thats still stupid.I guess it does leave more employment of Venators and Phase 2 armor. Sith-venator 10:46PM 10-13-08
- So, all the work Dark Horse and Del Rey went through to date everything, just out the window? Seriously? They even went to the trouble to give us fractions of years, and months. It's quite possible the most meticulously mapped portions of the ENTIRE timeline period! This pretty much out-dicks having Greedo shoot first, right here. Dangerdan97 23:49, 14 October 2008 (UTC)

- It should all work out in the end. I'm sure the bulk of the stories are being forced into a small space, but really all this is doing is allowing for expandability. Condensing the timeline doesn't actually change it in any significant way (except for the placement of books like Medstar, Triple-Zero, or True Colors, which do not feature Anakin in any significant way). Basically, all I'm saying is have faith. Leland won't leave us hanging :)Taral, Dark Lord of the Sith 16:32, 15 October 2008 (UTC)
- To account for all the new changes, I think we should at least temporarily make a tag specifically about conflicts between The Clone Wars and other materials, because the universal "There are two conflicting canon sources" tag doesn't really fit. There are like 5 sources contradicted by each episode. It could be a quote from the movie/show or the real movies, like "What in the blazes is he doing there?" or something. Thoughts? -Milo Fett[Comlink] 14:33, 30 October 2008 (UTC)
- Yeah, something like a specific tag saying "The new official Clone Wars timeline had not been established by Lucasfilm so far. The exact chronology of the events described in this article is yet unknown". Mauser 19:19, 30 October 2008 (UTC)
