I noticed that some comic scans have text removed from balloons and others don't. Do we have a policy on that? - Sikon [Talk] 16:13, 28 April 2006 (UTC)

  • Why should the text be removed at all? I'm confused. Darth Kevinmhk 02:49, 29 April 2006 (UTC)
    • I asked some people about this a few months ago. Seems like the idea is if it is relevant text, leave it on there, but if it's not, or if it's partially cropped or doesn't make any sense out of context, take it out. -- Unsigned comment by Ozzel (talk • contribs).
      • Ooops. Yeah, that was me. :-P -- Ozzel 05:19, 29 April 2006 (UTC)
        • Ah, that explains it. I thought the text was removed for copyright reasons.Crowe 12:49, 29 April 2006 (UTC)
          • It's considered fair use, with or without the text. (Maybe keeping the text is even legally safer, as we don't modify source material. But I think nobody cares.) - Sikon [Talk] 13:34, 29 April 2006 (UTC)
