We have quite a number of conjecturally named star-systems on the Wook. I recall a large scale delete of such articles. Is that still our approach to such articles? --Eyrezer 10:38, 8 February 2008 (UTC)

  • If the existence of a system can only be established through conjecture, it should be deleted. That's what's been done before, and I see no reason why that should change. --Imperialles 13:16, 8 February 2008 (UTC)
    • The same should go for stars such as Atrisi, in my opinion. Graestan(Talk) 17:29, 8 February 2008 (UTC)
      • Yes, of course. This stuff borders on fanon. --Imperialles 17:34, 8 February 2008 (UTC)
        • Ok, I've started to delete them, and also to remove links to them, but it is a slow job. If any admins would like to help, I've done to the end of "D". Keep an eye out for planets as well as systems. --Eyrezer 05:06, 10 February 2008 (UTC)

            • Maybe we should just leave them... as i understand it they're going to be all cononized in Star Wars: The Essential Atlas in June? --121.217.145.77 07:28, 10 February 2008 (UTC)
              • All of them? Including the star and system names for obscure planets briefly mentioned in a single passage of an out-of-print RPG sourcebook? 8) —Silly Dan (talk) 13:08, 10 February 2008 (UTC)

All right, that'll do it. Should we perhaps codify that we don't—and why—create articles for stars and systems based solely on planet names? Graestan(Talk) 23:29, 10 February 2008 (UTC)

  • Sure, why not? It'll cut down on the stubs and should help keep the Articles with Conjectural Titles category from becoming a gargantuan beast.--Goodwood Redstarbird (Alliance Intelligence) 03:26, 11 February 2008 (UTC)
  • Sorry guys, we're not done. From K there are still conjecturally named stars. Have a look at any that are just single names. --Eyrezer 07:31, 11 February 2008 (UTC)
  • It will be interesting to see how many we end up adding back after the Atlas. -- Riffsyphon1024 22:22, 12 February 2008 (UTC)
    • I cannot see us adding in many of the prolific star articles, nor some of the planets. Jason has said they are working at system level so anything below that is less likely to get a mention. Besides, as admins, we can restore the pages if need be so the if a number of these currently non-canonical articles do get canonised, the effort won't be that significant. --Eyrezer 22:58, 12 February 2008 (UTC)
