Something I've come across is that Mon Calamri is also called Dac (which I didn't know before). When talking about the planet though, do we call it Dac, or Mon Calamari? For instance, under the 'Locations' heading of a book, what we use? I've seen both used in the same article. Sorry i'f I'm missing a point somewhere. Unsigned comment by DudsBro (talk • contribs).

  • We originally voted to go with Mon Calamari, but with the recent and heavy usage of "Dac" throughout the Star Wars Legacy comics, apparently that policy has changed without discussion, so I'm not certain if we have a preferred method currently. jSarek 01:26, 31 May 2008 (UTC)
    • There was no policy change, but Darth Culator has recently been running his bot like crazy to switch them all to Dac. Also, please sign your posts by typing four tildes like so: ~~~~ —Xwing328(Talk) 01:55, 31 May 2008 (UTC)
      • Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't he just making piped links to Dac but leaving the text reading as Mon Calamari (which, since it was the most common name in most historical periods, is probably the best name to use in text in most cases)? —Silly Dan (talk) 03:15, 31 May 2008 (UTC)
        • Don't think so. After noticing it being changed on a page i was helping to expand, iIsaw quite a few in pages such as Ackbar where it says: Homeworld Dac. Course then it contracicts itself by saying: Birth Place Mon Calamri. Sorry about not sining name...I forgot. DudsBro 03:26, 31 May 2008 (UTC)
      • SD, I believe you're right; however, the page was moved to Dac against the previous agreement. Though if it truly is being used by everyone IU now, I see no problem with the page move. —Xwing328(Talk) 03:47, 31 May 2008 (UTC)
