How should BBY/ABY dates be incorporated into articles? Should they read, "the Battle of Endor happened 4 ABY" (taking "4 ABY" as an abbreviation for "4 years after the Battle of Yavin") or "the Battle of Endor happened in 4 ABY" (taking "4 ABY" as an abbreviation for "the year '4 after Battle of Yavin'", in the same way we use "the year 2000 AD")? I've seen both examples used across the Wookiee - Kwenn 14:09, 24 May 2006 (UTC)

  • I prefer no "in." But that's just me. -- Ozzel 23:48, 24 May 2006 (UTC)
  • I like "In 4 BBY,.." in the same matter as "In 10 BC,..". But maybe that's just me. -Finlayson 02:25, 25 May 2006 (UTC)
  • I agree with Finlayson. I think it makes more grammatical sense to have the "in." Lord Revan 12:18, 28 May 2006 (UTC)
