So, I checked the {{Blog}} template, and it doesn't seem to have the option to link to articles posted via the official Star Wars blog. In general, blog posts probably don't need articles here, but some of them add new canon. For instance, the recently posted The Droids Re-Animated, Part 1 on StarWars.com (article) (backup link) contains some new canon, such as the species Dyclops, and some full names for characters, like Gavern Starlock. Should we not have pages here for articles like this (as opposed to promotional blog posts)? And if so, is it hard to add a field so we can link to the internal page via the {{Blog}} template? ~Savage 15:46, June 15, 2013 (UTC)
- That sounds like a great idea. A few other templates could use that extra field, too, such as {{Wizards}}. For example, we have an article on Nightsaber, but adding Nightsaber to the Wizards template doesn't actually link to the Wookieepedia article --- only to the WOTC website. - {{Blog}} has been modified per this suggestion. Use the new "int" parameter to create an internal link to a Wookieepedia article. Note that this will only work in conjunction with the "official" parameter. I have not tested the change, so if you encounter problems, let me know. As for Wizards, {{WizardsCite}} exists for that very purpose, but the ability to use an internal link is the only significant difference between those two templates, and I may merge them into one soon. —MJ— Council Chambers 05:10, June 18, 2013 (UTC)
- Excellent. Thanks, MJ. ~Savage 15:04, June 18, 2013 (UTC)
