When Dooku shot Force Lightning at Yoda and Yoda shot it back, how did Dooku deflect it. Did he use a Light Side ability or an as yet unknown Dark Side one?

    • Dang it, I can't believe I forgot about that ability. user:Darth Vatrir
      • It isn't realy light or dark. Yoda and Dooku both used it.--Darth Oblivion 01:29, 17 August 2006 (UTC)
        • Personally I think categorizing force powers into the sort of arcane "spellbook" type magicka isn't a good idea. We have to assume that since Dooku was once a Jedi and then a Sith he has knowledge of both sides and takes the best of both worlds. Probably also a lot of grey areas in the force that are universal. I personally do not think the force would be inherently light or dark nor its powers, it is simply the will and character of the individual that makes the difference. That being said blasting force lightning or healing someone clearly draw on different aspects of the force. If you want my answer, I'd say that he was simply deflecting it by pushing the energy away; sort of like a force push that we see just insanely powerful. Feldmarschall 00:02, 24 August 2006 (UTC)
      • Wouldn't it be reasonable to assume that if he is able to generate the lightning and direct it without hurting himself he would in turn be able to deflect as an offshoot applied knowledge of this general force ability?
