I'll be deleting lots of fan films tomorrow that fail the notability requirements set by WP:NOT. If there's any fan films you think should be kept, please state so here. --Imp 18:41, 29 November 2006 (UTC)

  • Uh...I think the buck stops right at TROOPS - it's the only one we should keep, because it's the only one that's really of note outside the Fan Film community. Others may cite Pink Five and all that, but TROOPS is really the only one that most fans remember. .... 22:12, 29 November 2006 (UTC)
    • Yeah, TROOPS is staying. --Imp 22:14, 29 November 2006 (UTC)
      • And Star Wars: Revelations, Broken Allegiance, Knightquest, and any fan films featured by The Official Star Wars Fan Film Awards. Anything that is notable should be kept. Adamwankenobi 22:22, 29 November 2006 (UTC)
        • Those fan films certainly did not have an impact on neither the fan base nor canon, and should therefore be deleted according to policy. --Imp 22:54, 29 November 2006 (UTC)
          • Nonsense. They've had no impact on canon, but they all have had an impact on the fan base, and if they don't meet our notability requirements, then there's something wrong with those requirements, not with their presence here. There are probably a bunch of fanfilms that genuinely aren't notable, but all the ones Adamwankenobi named are. jSarek 23:19, 29 November 2006 (UTC)
            • If they've had an impact on the fanbase, I didn't notice it. Apart from Revelations, I've never heard of the others. It's a tricky call to make, but as I say, if you make one exception, you've got to be prepared to make a hell of a lot more. I say merge all fan films into a list. .... 23:38, 29 November 2006 (UTC)
              • Well, by that logic the same is true of fan websites, fan organizations, pretty much everything that's fandom would get lumped in a list, which is a complete disservice to our readers. Notability may be subjective and prone to making exceptions, but it's better than either extreme of lumping them all into a list or giving every fan product ever made its own article. jSarek 23:47, 29 November 2006 (UTC)
