I've seen various character articles throughout Wookieepedia refer to the subject of the article as their first name or surname. In some cases, I've seen some where both forms are used. What's the exact standard for this? (It's not good having variations like that in the articles methinks.) —Mirlen 14:42, 7 July 2006 (UTC)

  • Encyclopedic style leans towards sparing use of the full name with regular use of the surname. The first name should only be used with the full name or in confusing situations (like multiple Solos or Skywalkers). --SparqMan 19:07, 7 July 2006 (UTC)
  • Are there any examples of species or cultures in the Star Wars universe where the first name is the surname? Like Chinese, where "Mao" is the surname for "Mao Tse-tung"? -BaronGrackle 03:00, 8 July 2006 (UTC)
