R2 is preparing to give a major beating to legacy language templates, like {{user en}}, which will be replaced with new syntax (which has actually been around for a while) based on {{lang}}. It is better to edit your userpages yourself to relieve the bot of some work.

In a nutshell, if there is a {{user lc}} userbox template on your user page, please replace it with {{lang|lc|N}}, and if you use a number, like {{user lc-1}}, replace it with {{lang|lc|1}}.

If the userbox shows a weird redlink, open "Template:LangName lc" (where lc is the language code) and type the language name, like "English" (see Template:LangName ru for an example). You may also need to create "Category:User lc" (see the source for Category:User ru for reference). - Sikon 18:27, 11 September 2006 (UTC)

Hope this helps. - Sikon 18:27, 11 September 2006 (UTC)

  • And as a side note, since I can now run scripts via cron, the sandbox will be automatically reset every day, so I've removed the link to the manual rake page. - Sikon 03:42, 12 September 2006 (UTC)
    • I seem to have run across a problem. The babel templates are not compatible with the new {{lang}} based system… –SentryTalk 00:01, 17 October 2006 (UTC)
      • Uncyclopedia doesn't use the babel templates. They only have a template for the header, and the userbox templates are aligned using a wikitable. See, for example, the source for Uncyclopedia:User:Guest. - Sikon 03:00, 17 October 2006 (UTC)
        • Okay, so why don't we just delete the babel templates (Template:babel-1, Template:babel-2, Template:babel-3, Template:babel-4, Template:babel-5) and just use Template:Userboxtop and Template:Userboxbottom which can actually be used with the new language templates.–SentryTalk 06:57, 17 October 2006 (UTC)
