  • Im not sure what it'd look like, but as we have redlinks, needs more pictures etc why not a needs quotes template? Jedi Dude 23:27, 14 October 2006 (UTC)

    • Like that, but better. .... 01:27, 15 October 2006 (UTC)
  • I'd think a pic of C-3PO along with "What did he say?" might work better, doesn't directly invert the quote Enochf 01:28, 15 October 2006 (UTC)
    • I was kidding. .... 01:58, 15 October 2006 (UTC)
  • While we're suggesting templates, what about one for merging two conflicting sources? The DBPODANOTOR/JVS conflict made me think this could be useful. Havac 07:02, 15 October 2006 (UTC)

  • Mhmm. .... 08:03, 15 October 2006 (UTC)
    • That looks good. Havac 08:09, 15 October 2006 (UTC)
      • Well i like the quote one, maybe sort the tet out underneath it, and the other one is fine, make them a bit more official? Jedi Dude 15:28, 15 October 2006 (UTC)
        • I don't know about you guys, but everytime I see a page without a quote, I either add one myself or decide I can't think of a suitable one (e.g. Lonna Vash, or Max (rabbit)). To me it seems that those of us who can recognise that a page needs a quote might also recognise at least a temporary quote that would work for it. -BaronGrackle 16:05, 15 October 2006 (UTC)
    • yer, but its not always the case is it. And then there are those articles that need several quotes, such as Ferus Olin's, that the template would be usefull for. Jedi Dude 16:08, 15 October 2006 (UTC)
      • How about that? Now it specifies the two sources that are conflicting. .... 23:26, 15 October 2006 (UTC)
  • I agree with BaronGrackle. Whenever you create a header template, there is always a trade-off between which is more distracting: the header template itself or the problem it is supposed to address. In the case of quotes, IMHO, if we need a header template at all, it should be as small and unobtrusive as possible.–SentryTalk 02:23, 16 October 2006 (UTC)
    • I'd say we don't need them at all. Quotes aren't mandatory for articles, and shouldn't be. If a good one pops up, put it in; otherwise, either leave it be or mention it on the Talk page. jSarek 07:53, 16 October 2006 (UTC)
      • I agree with JSarek. --Xwing328(Talk) 21:45, 16 October 2006 (UTC)
        • Yeah I was going to say that too. — beeurd talk 15:26, 17 October 2006 (UTC)
