How exactly do we define how much each other understands the depths of the galaxy? I mean we have newcomer, basic understanding, intermediate understanding, and advanced understanding. How exactly do we know which one we are? How are we to judge? Zinthematrix 06:40, 13 August 2007 (UTC)

  • Better question: who are we to judge? KEJ 10:02, 14 August 2007 (UTC)
    • That is true. I don't know if judge was the best word to use, but your right. Zinthematrix 17:54, 14 August 2007 (UTC)
  • What Bothan clan betrayed the Caamasi and destroyed their planetary shield prior to the Imperial orbital bombardment that wiped out the majority of the Caamasi race? --School of Thrawn 101 07:09, 13 August 2007 (UTC)
  • If you mean the userbox displaying how advanced knowledge a user has of the GFFA, that is simply self-promotion on part of that user. There is no test to take. You generally just get a feel for how much the average Wookieepedian regular knows, and compare yourself to that. DarthMRN 12:16, 13 August 2007 (UTC)
    • I know there isn't a test. I was just wandering.....and considering i have no clue what the first guy is talking about.....prob. not advanced. I'm more a "how things work" over knowing "every fact" about stuff like that. Deff. a tech junkie. I don't know if that could still be considered advanced.... Zinthematrix 17:33, 13 August 2007 (UTC)
      • In my opinion, "Basic" means you've watched the movies a few times and know them pretty well but not exhaustively, and/or have read a few spin-off works and have a broad but indistinct idea of what goes on outside the movies. "Intermediate" means you have a good general grasp of the whole EU, OR you have a Basic understanding but also a very in-depth knowledge of one era or source material (e.g. Basic but you've read everything set in the New Jedi Order era, Basic but you own and have read all of WotC's sourcebooks, Basic but you can tell me exactly how many words Chief Bast has in his lines in the movies). "Advanced" means you have an extensive and thorough grasp of the whole EU, including very in-depth knowledge of more than one era or source material. jSarek 21:58, 13 August 2007 (UTC)
      • Zinthe, mine was a trick question, anyway. Don't feel bad. --School of Thrawn 101 04:30, 14 August 2007 (UTC)
  • Oh well that's good to know. I was about to say....man I'm not as knowledgeable as i thought i was.....clan saywhat? lol thanks dude. lol Zinthematrix 05:08, 14 August 2007 (UTC)
  • Wasn't it not a whole clan, just a group of bothans?-Andur Dral'runi 02:10, 19 August 2007 (UTC)
