  • No, my friend, Once George retires, I've heard that he will hand his Star Wars Universe down to a family member or someone working under him. I could be wrong though. user:darththeexile 12:54, 27 May 2007
  • Star Wars Will Never Die! -- Riffsyphon1024 05:54, 2 June 2007 (UTC)
    • Well duh, it's an idea. Those are statistically more difficult to kill than living creatures. --School of Thrawn 101 06:36, 2 June 2007 (UTC)
      • Yeah. JRR Tolkein is dead and yet LOTR still lives. Unit 8311 14:39, 2 June 2007 (UTC)
        • Isn't the question more who, if anyone, gets to make the final calls on what new SW material will be allowed after GL dies? The very purpose of LFL was to retain some semblance of GL's vision for the EU, but as I've understood it, they are to a large degree dependant upon his directives and input when approving future projects. With him gone, who knows what will happen. DarthMRN 14:52, 2 June 2007 (UTC)
          • Well, I suppose that Amanda, Jett, and Katie will have the say-so after George's death. Adamwankenobi 19:50, 2 June 2007 (UTC)
            • Is there reason to belive that? Have there ever been any talk about any of them running the empire in his place? IS there any reason (beyond normal inheritance) to think they would be given creative control of the SW? DarthMRN 20:46, 2 June 2007 (UTC)
              • Is normal inheritance insufficient reason? jSarek 08:08, 4 June 2007 (UTC)
                • By ye gods, I hope so. Creative control of perhaps the greatest franshise ever isn't something to just pass down. And GL has proved very protecitve of it in the past. DarthMRN 12:56, 5 June 2007 (UTC)
  • What it'll mean is that his lame retcons and nonsensical directives will end, and perhaps then the EU might regain a bit of its quality. Kuralyov 20:07, 2 June 2007 (UTC)
    • How dare you get my hopes up?! I'm wondering if just letting LFL rule that stuff based on GL directives wouldn't be the best thing. I shudder at the thought of the damage three kids having grown up in so close proximity to the PT could cause with G-canon certification. DarthMRN 20:46, 2 June 2007 (UTC)
      • And remember guys, Jett created the name Jar Jar Binks. :O Adamwankenobi 21:08, 2 June 2007 (UTC)
        • SHUDDERS! -- Riffsyphon1024 06:06, 4 June 2007 (UTC)
          • Yeah, but he also invented some kind of cool sabre tecnique where you keep your wrists on an axis and swing the lightsabre around like a moron. Thefourdotelipsis 08:46, 4 June 2007 (UTC)
            • It's horrible to have to say this, but perhaps it's better to let SW die while it's still got some shreds of dignity. Commander Daal Imperial Emblem 09:47, 4 June 2007 (UTC)
  • Judging by the comments here: The Star Wars franchise is in far, far safer hands with Lucas' kids than disgruntled fanboys. Go nuts Jett. QuentinGeorge 10:01, 4 June 2007 (UTC)

I always thought Rick McCallum would buy the rights from George Lucas. Template:Jf
