As much as I try to come up with original ideas, I find so many good ones already implimented at Wikipedia. Case in point, their Importance Scale as seen here. Would we want to enact something like this here but maybe give it a SW spin?

Need: The article's priority or importance, regardless of its quality

TopSubject is a must-have for a print encyclopaedia
HighSubject contributes a depth of knowledge
MidSubject fills in more minor details
LowSubject is mainly of specialist interest.

  • What articles would be the most important—"featured prominently in the movies", "featured prominently in the EU", or "plays a major role in Galactic history"? --Imp 17:42, 14 November 2006 (UTC)
    • Well that is the $64,000 question, isn't it? We might have to reclassify what we find as being important since we already know this wiki is not just about the movies. But major characters appear in all forms of media, so they would be more important than a comlink. So to keep with IU, we might want to take that importance to the galaxy standard. -- Riffsyphon1024 17:47, 14 November 2006 (UTC)
  • Given that we're not going to be creating a hardcopy version of Wookieepedia and thus don't need to sort articles for inclusion like Wikipedia does, what exactly is the goal of this? jSarek 05:35, 15 November 2006 (UTC)
    • Heh, well we just discussed this and now I see your point. It wouldn't work out. -- Riffsyphon1024 05:48, 15 November 2006 (UTC)
