In ROTS, Anakin becomes very upset when he is appointed to the Council but is not chosen to be a master. He claims that it has never been done in the history of the Jedi Order(appointing a knight to the council). Yet, in the STAR WARS ULTIMATE VISUAL GUIDE, as well as other books, it is stated that Ki-Adi-Mundi served on the council as a Jedi Knight. Whats the dealio??!?? • Nothing's wrong. Anakin was too arrogant, that's all. Maybe he was so angry that he couldn't remember Ki's case, or he didnt even know, as Ki very soon reached Mastery after Ani joined the order. Darth Kevinmhk 03:06, 24 July 2006 (UTC)
    • Just re-watched this last night, I thought the same thing, but you'll notice Ki shaking his head right after Anakin says this in a sort of "I'm not even going to bother" kind of way. Lonnyd 09:35, 24 July 2006 (UTC)
      • This has been brought up many times before, and the official answer is that Ki-Adi was in the process of becoming a Master as of TPM - Kwenn 15:42, 24 July 2006 (UTC)
          • In other words, Ki-Adi-Mundi was still a knight when he joined the Council, yet he had been promised that he would soon ascend to Master (which he had done). Anakin was given no such guarantee. QuentinGeorge 06:26, 25 July 2006 (UTC)
            • Not promised, Ki earned the title in his own time in his own way, which has nothing to do either way with his appointment. Darth Kevinmhk 07:54, 25 July 2006 (UTC)
            • No, he earned it because he joined the council. Like it or not, that is the official LFL stance. QuentinGeorge 08:35, 25 July 2006 (UTC)
