What is the policy on the infobox images? Is there a preference of color over black and white pics? Are "later" pics preferred? Full body over just face? --Eyrezer 02:05, 18 June 2006 (UTC)

  • Though I'm not entirely sure I speak for policy, it seems to be that later pics are prefered bar when it's movie characters in which case the latest movie pic is prefered, it doesn't matter if they're b&w or colour, unmasked if possible (again, except if they're always masked in the movies, then the movie pic)...and the last bit...I prefer full body myself...but I don't have any idea what the policy is on that. —Jaymach Ral'Tir (talk) 02:26, 18 June 2006 (UTC)
    • The reason why I ask is actually due to the edit you made on Dorsk 82. I think it looked better with the colour pic, that was "younger", in the main box. Thought I'd check up if there is an official position on it. I'd tend to favor color pics, later if possible, but flexible about it. --Eyrezer 02:48, 18 June 2006 (UTC)
      • I would guess the criteria, in order of importance, would be: 1) Clarity (fuzziness is bad, so are far-away shots), 2) Color (always favorable over black and white), 3) Latest date prior to major change in appearance (latest date is always best, but, for example, if a character had their facial skin badly burned in the last three years of their life, it would be optimal to choose the latest date before that. Of course, if the person was burned from a young age and had been disfigured their entire life, it would be reversed).
