  • This has probably been thought of before and dismissed for a very good reason but I thought that I would ask. Would it not be nice to have a box at the end of Jedi character articles to say who their master(s) was and any padawan(s). A bit like the succession boxes for Kings and Emperors etc. Just a thought --Volemlock 07:15, 11 June 2006 (UTC)
  • You know that's a pretty good idea! We should tell others about it and start working on it.

    • I was going to suggest the idea a while ago, because it's basically the same as the Sith Master and apprentice succession box. I say go for it. Fleet Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) Imperial Emblem 13:26, 11 June 2006 (UTC)
      • The problem is that we don't know many of the Jedi's apprentices. And usually they have quite a few apprentices! But yea, its a good idea. Jasca Ducato 15:48, 12 June 2006 (UTC)
        • And so it is nice idea, also I agree with Jasca's point and ofcourse the other way around. Galedze 19:54, 12 juni 2006 (UTC)

Something like this on the Anakin Skywalker page?

Or this on the Obi-Wan page?

  • it seems to me that this could spiral out of control though, especially as evidenced by the Obi-Wan example... I like the idea in theory... but... - Breathesgelatin 00:15, 16 June 2006 (UTC)
    • What about including that information into the character's infobox under the biographical information? The only thing is that the years that the apprenticeship took place would have to be taken out. DarthMaul431 02:11, 16 June 2006 (UTC)
  • I'd REALLY hate to see Luke Skywalker's succession boxes if the first idea was implemented. All those boxes would probably take up a good portion of the article and make it look ugly. I say put the info in the character box. StarNeptuneTalk to me! 06:59, 16 June 2006 (UTC)
  • I strongly disagree with this, both for Breathesgelatin and StarNeptune's reasons and the simple fact that those boxes are designed to list successors that have held a specific title. What you're proposing is reversing that idea by instead listing the various titles that one person has held, and even lapsing into the titles of other people for no apparent reason. This is going to become extremely confusing when they're shown next to normal succession boxes. Now, what I would agree with is something like this:

Etc., etc., because it describes a single title heald by multiple people, like these boxes should.--Thetoastman 03:06, 18 June 2006 (UTC)

  • How about something simple like this?

That would be on the Obi-Wan page and cut it all down into one box! Save alot of room it would. Jasca Ducato 08:35, 18 June 2006 (UTC)

  • I oppose the idea. Succession boxes were meant for a different purpose. We can add Master(s)/Padawan(s) fields to the Jedi infobox, though. - Sikon [Talk] 09:26, 18 June 2006 (UTC)
    • But then we'd have to add it to the Sith infobox and we really have no idea who master who in their case lol! Jasca Ducato 18:21, 18 June 2006 (UTC)
      • Well we do know a handful of the Sith master and apprentice pairings, so we could fill in for them as well and in the case of those who we don't know, it can be left blank.DarthMaul431 21:21, 19 June 2006 (UTC)
