Yes, this probably way off topic, but I thought I'd make some folks here aware of another fledging wiki that could probably become as vast as the Wookieepedia, but I think it's in need of more contributors, both for content and technical know-how.
Joepedia, the G.I. Joe Wiki, was started up a while ago, but not a lot was happening there. Currently, a small group of dedicated fans is working on it, but it needs more people to get involved. I've got my own Joe site, and while I'm glad to assist the wiki here and there, I've got enough trouble just keeping my own site up to date! I've borrowed the character infobox template from Wookieepedia to help, but my technical wiki knowledge was stretched to its limits just tinkering with those until I finally got them working well.
So, c'mon Joe fans. Answer the call to arms and help out the Joepedia: http://gijoe.wikia.com/wiki/Main_Page

- This borders on spam JMM but there probably are some users willing to help out. -- Riffsyphon1024 11:35, 29 December 2007 (UTC)
- Yes, like I said, this may not be completely appropriate to have here, but I'm not really advertising. Just asking for some help. I figured, this really is one of the best wikis out there, so why not go poking around for some help? I really hate to see neglected websites. --JMM 17:20, 29 December 2007 (UTC)

- OK, I getcha. I really haven't read those topics before. I figured, since this is a forum for discussion, something slightly off topic wouldn't hurt. And I have promoted it on some more appropriate boards. Also, if you read my subject for this thread, it tells you all you need to know to avoid it... --JMM 22:02, 30 December 2007 (UTC)
