How about another round of Miss Star Wars and Mr. Star Wars? Shouldn't we make it an anuual event. It was great fun nominating and voting last year. KEJ 13:49, 17 October 2006 (UTC)

  • I think we should. But should we allow the previous winners to qualify? -- SFH 14:05, 17 October 2006 (UTC)
  • We could divide it up into smaller ones, like by era or by faction. Now we've got so many characters it'd be unwieldly for just one. Also we should decide whether we can vote more than once. -LtNOWIS 14:26, 17 October 2006 (UTC)
    • Yessss, thats a really good idea, have like winners of each era, and the winner of last year can't go in again surely? Jedi Dude 16:17, 17 October 2006 (UTC)
      • I like the era idea and I agree that past winners shouldn't be eligible. Kuralyov 17:01, 17 October 2006 (UTC)
  • Since I and many more wasn't around when this contest was held you need to tell us about it. You know, voting, rules and such stuff:) Lorth NeedaStriptease 16:55, 17 October 2006 (UTC)
  • I like the idea of having another round, and that whole each era miss/mister like it even more. however I do think we could let the past winners compete again. We can see then how much people love the past winners this year ;) Galedze(Connection Trough The Force) 25px
  • Look, i just signed up for this last week. so could some explain this a little better to me. but it seems like a great thing to do.and who won last year, so thats all i ask. bye.

--Darth tader 22:14, 17 October 2006 (UTC)

  • Yeah, last year's winners should be elegible again, I think. The "contest" is the ultimate fangirl/fanboy geekout... a kind of Star Wars version of Miss World and Mister Universe. You can see last year's Miss Star Wars standings here and Mr Star Wars here. The vote archives are here and here; they should give you an idea of how it worked last year. I think the whole thing was Aziz' idea. KEJ 15:42, 17 October 2006 (PDT)
  • I know it's supposedly a fangirl/fanboy geekout, but I also notice that quite a few... "unattractive" candidates were eligible last year. If any of this is about coolness factor, and not attraction, then I think we need a Miss Star Wars 2006, a Mr. Star Wars 2006, and a Star Wars Unit 2006! -BaronGrackle 22:56, 17 October 2006 (UTC)
    • lol, I voted for Gardullah the Hutt last time, as well as some other less attractive characters, I also voted for candidates for Mr Star Wars. Of course it's not about attraction... it's about coolness. Coolness is also part of the fanboy/fangirl geekout ;-) KEJ 00:07, 18 October 2006 (UTC)
  • opinion is that it's based on attraction. So, with like a 9-0-0 landslide consensus, I'm setting up Ms. SW 2006 here. Cheers, RelentlessRecusantJedi Order 23:10, 17 October 2006 (UTC)
    • Good call. I'll set up Mr Star Wars 2005 here. We should probably agree on a deadline for the voting and stuff. And maybe there should be a reference to the whole thing on the front page as well. KEJ 00:07, 18 October 2006 (UTC)

  1. If it does go on, please inform me @ my talk page. I would like to be a central figure in its creation and running. Thanks! Cheers, RelentlessRecusantJedi Order 11:17, 17 October 2006 (PDT)

  • AHEM, AHEM, AHEM! Look i asked what this whole thing was about so could someone explain it to me please. and did kej set it up last year also. well bye bye--Darth tader 19:19, 18 October 2006 (UTC)
    • I tried to explain, and I gave you links to last year's contest, and no I didn't set it up last year..... that was Azizlight. KEJ 08:20, 19 October 2006 (UTC)

I also would like to help. - Angel Blue (Holonet) 22:33, 17 October 2006 (UTC)

  • Why does there have to be a vote? No one has even hinted at objecting... --Imp 22:49, 17 October 2006 (UTC)
    • Well, I simply wanted to establish what the public wanted. It is, after all, a democracy. Cheers, RelentlessRecusantJedi Order 23:09, 17 October 2006 (UTC)
  • You can all help by adding nominees and votes. You can also help by updating vote counts and stuff, and restructuring the pages if we decide on have Ms/Mr Star Wars for different eras. I guess we (or I) agreed on last year's winners being elegible again this year, no? KEJ 00:07, 18 October 2006 (UTC)
    • I guess vote counts are not necessary, but we still need to remove invalid votes and to keep the pages nice, orderly, and alphabetical. You can all help by doing that. I've already added some characters to both pages.... in accordance with the coolness factorKEJ 00:36, 18 October 2006 (UTC)
      • Yep. The biggest problem last year was the fake anon votes. --Azizlight 12:01, 18 October 2006 (UTC)
        • Permanent semi-protection would prevent that. -LtNOWIS 19:44, 18 October 2006 (UTC)
  • Can we have a link here, i can't find it :S yer semi protection would be nice Jedi Dude 19:50, 18 October 2006 (UTC)
