I think the picture of Obi-Wan in his Infobox doesn't do him credit. Don't get me wrong, I like Alec Guiness. I just think he should have a better picture like him in Episode III, perhaps with his saber held over his head. Nom Callide 19:51, 5 September 2006 (UTC)

  • Well it's a good idea. But we must keep in mind that two different characters have the role as Obi-Wan. Another main problem is that we have several films with a younger and older Ben. If we now must change it, there must be a picture where folks recognize him immediately. Lorth Needa 21:15, 5 September 2006 (UTC)
  • The infobox picture should be of Guinness Obi-Wan. QuentinGeorge 21:18, 5 September 2006 (UTC)
  • There should be a policy made for main images. Promotional, live, oldest (as in Star Wars timeline), full body, good quality (as in colors and general smoothness) gets first priority. Second priority is basically the same except it's headshot/upper body. So and so forth...--RedemptionTalk Uglykotoricon 21:22, 5 September 2006 (UTC)
  • I think it should be the picture on the left of Ewan McGregor portraying Obi-Wan

from Episode III because a wider generation know him as Obi-Wan and because it is a full body shot and NOT grainy like the current Alec Guiness pic on the right. Also the Ewan McGregor shot looks more impressive, at the hight of his powers, as Jedi Master.

  • Current Policy states it has to be one of their latest living movie appearance.. So, as stated, Episode IV Obi-Wan. QuentinGeorge 07:21, 6 September 2006 (UTC)
  • If it has to be Alec Guiness could someone get a better one? You know, full length robes, shot from a movie, etc. The current one is grainy and quite dull. Nom Callide 15:40, 6 September 2006 (UTC)
    • I'm sure it's policy that infobox images are meant to be head shots if possible, with full body shots appearing in the article proper - Kwenn 17:01, 6 September 2006 (UTC)
      • Wait, we do have an official policy? I didn't know that. Where is it posted? -- Ozzel 18:17, 6 September 2006 (UTC)
        • I don't think we have an "official" policy but it's pretty unanimous among users who've been contributing for awhile that the pic needs to be latest living movie appearance and preferably a full body shot. Unless there isn't anything else. And as for Obi-Wan, I'm afraid there isn't anything else. Though I did see a promotional image of Alec as Obi-Wan (though it was a headshot). The problem is that the image was way too small. --RedemptionTalk Uglykotoricon 18:53, 6 September 2006 (UTC)
          • OK, policy was the wrong word. Redemption phrased it better - Kwenn 18:57, 6 September 2006 (UTC)
          • Maybe someone can get a nice, high-res DVD frame that gives us a good look at Kenobi? QuentinGeorge 20:45, 6 September 2006 (UTC)
  • I doubt it's possible. It's insanely difficult just to get an OT DVD screen that's just acceptable. --RedemptionTalk Uglykotoricon 03:29, 7 September 2006 (UTC)
    • I had one, but I mistook the stick he had (Which was a lightsaber prop) to be a cane. That's the best I could find. --Jabbathehuttgartogg Jabba'sDesilijicClanTattoo-SWFF Jabba'sDesilijicClanTattoo-SWFF 23:27, 7 September 2006 (UTC)
