This is something I'd like to do myself, but I thought I'd run it by folks on here, first. I noticed the only single way to see listings of the old SW comic strips is on an article page titled "Comic strip", which starts with a description of what a comic strip is. I've recently noticed that though the various series of strips were written by different authors and reprinted in a few different "Classic Star Wars" series, they are all actually part of the same continuous run of newspaper strips. So, I'd say there should be a page just titled "Star Wars comic strip", as they are all basically a single series.

After that, new comic strip story infoboxes could be made, too, and the reprinted Hyperspace strips include dates on most strips, so we can actually include the true start and end dates. The Webstrip infoboxes can just be used for the comic strips ones, or modified to create them.

As I said, I'd like to do a lot of this myself, but does that all make sense to people? --JMM 13:59, 9 August 2007 (UTC)

  • So you're saying make Comic strip about the series, not the... er, "idea" and then put infoboxes on each of the story pages? Sounds okay to me. -- Ozzel 18:07, 9 August 2007 (UTC)
    • The article Comic strip can actually stay. There will just be a new one that refers specifically to the Russ Manning / Archie Goodwin strips, since those were all part of one series. And, I've all ready created Template:Comic strip and started adding it to the pages for each strip. --JMM 18:25, 9 August 2007 (UTC)
      • Good. The comic strip article should just describe what that is in general. I'd call it "Star Wars comic strips", myself since it is a series of strips. -Fnlayson 19:14, 9 August 2007 (UTC)
        • The new page is up. The Comic strip page now has more general info, while the new Star Wars Comic Strip has the lists from the old page, plus more info. I went with the singular, because I'm referring to the single series, kind of like you can can refer to the Garfield comic as a comic strip. --JMM 21:21, 9 August 2007 (UTC)
