I asked about this on the TPM talk page, but I'm repeating it here. What should go into the "locations/vehicles/characters etc." lists in each film article: new things only or all things in the film? Because Coruscant (filmwise) was first shown in ROTJ (and even that wasn't a first appearance, really), yet Finlayson put it back on the TPM page. Personally, I'm in favor of listing all things appearing in each film and marking "first appearance" for the ones relevant. For instance, the X-34 landspeeder appears in both TPM and ANH, and should be listed as such, with a "first appearance" note on the ANH page. VT-16 12:31, 11 September 2006 (UTC)

  • I like listing all locations, etc. It is a little simplier and don't think it will add that many entries. -Finlayson 14:21, 11 September 2006 (UTC)
    • Unless there's any protests, I'll start putting as many entries as I can remember into each film article. :) VT-16 17:20, 15 September 2006 (UTC)
      • I am also in strong support of listing all things. And not just on the films, but on any and all EU works. Adamwankenobi 01:08, 16 September 2006 (UTC)
        • Agreed, all things, including new ones. --Xwing328(Talk) 15:23, 17 September 2006 (UTC)
          • How about additional categories? We have things like "Organizations" and "Other items" on some EU pages, and I've expanded a couple of existing Organization cats on a couple of the movie pages. Should we list other minor appearances too? Phrases and Words, for example? Technology; Weapons? - Kwenn 18:54, 19 September 2006 (UTC)
            • Unless the words are related to something in the universe and not just "I have a bad feeling about this", that would be fine. Same for technology and weapons. :) VT-16 16:26, 22 September 2006 (UTC)
              • Of course. I meant words or phrases like "koovy" or "Emperor's black bones" - Kwenn 16:58, 22 September 2006 (UTC)
                • That should be absolutely wizard. VT-16 18:33, 22 September 2006 (UTC)

  • What might be better than placing a list on the articles for the movies is an index page like for the books and comics. -- Riffsyphon1024 20:49, 22 September 2006 (UTC)
    • And I've started one right here: Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope index. I think this should be the format because those movie articles are bloated already without this. -- Riffsyphon1024 20:58, 22 September 2006 (UTC)
      • What about complete appearances? That list is only for new continuity; of course, it's ANH so it couldn't be anything else, but if that is going to be the format, will other lists include full appearance listings? - Kwenn 21:04, 22 September 2006 (UTC)
        • Well that is the question isn't it? In the case of Ep IV, all original continuity is new continuity. In the case of Ep V, its only those things not seen, much shorter list than Ep IV. On the articles for the movies itself, this is just continuity but not necessarily new, such as Luke Skywalker in Ep V. That's fine if we want to keep complete appearance lists on the articles then, but make the indexes to show the new stuff. -- Riffsyphon1024 21:10, 22 September 2006 (UTC)
          • I thought the point of the indexes was to remove appearance listings on articles to ensure they don't get too long?. I'd rather have full appearances, and use {{1st}} tags - Kwenn 21:12, 22 September 2006 (UTC)
            • No, that was the list of appearances. See Legacy series index. -- Riffsyphon1024 21:15, 22 September 2006 (UTC)
              • These indexes already exist for most non-movie meterial, so it would be a good idea to have them for the movies as well, even if the stuff might have a 1st tag on the movie article already (or should we cut them out and defer to the index?) VT-16 21:25, 22 September 2006 (UTC)
