Forum:SH Archive/Octuptarra combat tri-droids
Should we merge tri-droid into Octuptarra combat tri-droid? They seem to only be variants of nearly the same model, and what about the crab droids? Do they get their own articles because the databank didn't make a giant crab droid article? Probably just because they weren't shown in the movies.
The New Essential Guide to Droids seems to show them as having the same name, but it just nicknamed the larger ones tri-droids and the small ones Octuptarra droids. The NEGD called the bigger one an Octuptarra combat tri-droid, but we moved Octuptarra droid to that name. If only one of them gets the name "Octuptarra combat tri-droid", it should be the large version because that is the one depicted. But it seems unlikely that one would be called "Octuptarra droid" or "Tri-droid" and the other would be called "Octuptarra combat tri-droid". I thought I read some other sources said they had the same name, what were those? — Aiddat (Holonet) (Contribs Log)

Yes, they are different models. But I think they are alike enough to be in the same article, if the crab droid models are in the same article. — Aiddat (Holonet) (Contribs Log)
