We don't seem to have any pronunciation standards... ought we? It seems like putting pronunciation guides in articles would be pretty useful, given how often fans ask how certain things are pronounced in various forums. - Trip 16:24, 5 April 2008 (UTC)

  • We used to indicate pronunciations a long ago. They must have been removed for a good reason. I don't know the reason, I just know there is one. Others? - TopAce (Talk) 16:54, 5 April 2008 (UTC)
    • Some of the pronunciation guides weren't particularly helpful: they either gave the pronunciation for names and terms which most English-speakers could easily pronounce, gave pronunciations using (IMO) arcane and uninformative symbols which didn't tell me anything, or both. Also, I don't know for certain if people put speculative pronunciations on articles whose names have never been audibly spoken in canon, but I wouldn't be surprised if they had. 8) —Silly Dan (talk) 17:03, 5 April 2008 (UTC)
